Homemade Bircher Muesli ~

Simply healthy, nourishing and delicious!

I’ve been powering up my day with this Bircher Muesli recipe now, each week day, for more than 10 years. It keeps me going right through the morning with all the energy I need during those busy days.

Mix together:

4 cups jumbo rolled oats 1 cup flaxseeds

1 cup shredded coconut 1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup almonds (whole) 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup chia seeds 1/2 cup sultanas

1/2 cup any other dried fruit of your choice (gogi berries, mango, papaya, cranberries)

To prepare for breakfast, cover 1/2 cup of the bircher muesli mix with water the night before to let it soak and activate the nuts and seeds (some people use juice but I prefer water as it removes extra sugar and really isn’t needed).

In the morning, add any freshfruit of your choice and yoghurt if you wish. Then enjoy and be prepared to feel energised :)
